Say you have a Kindle or phone with 3G, how can you connect it with your home computer to let your regular desk top surf on the 3G?

I f I turn off my computer, I get knock off yahoo mail as my home page and even my desk top screen changes, sometimes I get knock off even when I don’t sign off why?

I will mostly do homework, emailing, surfing, and gaming (World of Warcraft). But i don’t know any gaming desktop packages.

I work at a Hotel Front Desk, the graveyard shift, so I usually have a few free hours literally just sitting on my rear. I would like to surf the Internet, but most hobby, video game, and media streaming websites get blocked by WebSense.

I would like to use my home computer (about 2 miles away from work) as a Proxy to allow me unrestricted access at work (**Don’t bother answering with a Sermon, I honestly couldn’t care less and you waste space. If you feel like answering with "You shouldn’t do that at work" LEAVE NOW**).

My Question now: In order to turn my home computer into a proxy, will it require special software and steps to route my work computer through my home computer? Or is it as simple as putting my Home Computer’s IP Address and an Open Port into FoxyProxy at work?

I have a older compaq desk top and am new to computing. I wish to delete the current programing to the point where this computer came out of it’s box. Then reload my windows XP home addition and start fresh? How do I acomplish this.
I do not wish to keep any old files or programs as these are why I want to delete all programing. I’ve tried deleting all I could then re install my windows disc, but the old files and such remain?

These computers are the kind for everyday use that can be set on a desk, they are very popular. Personal computers range in prices depending on storage and processing abilities and speed. The major components of a PC are:
-system unit (physical apparatus) which consist of the desktop (screen) and the tower (that contains the CPU, RAM, power supply, hard disks and all the slots for connecting all the other components).

Every pc has a central processing unit (CPU). Some of the most important products needed in order to be able to see things on your computer screen to the best of your ability are VDU (video display units, or monitors). These monitors allow the work being done on the computer to be displayed, as well as the results of processing, displaying texts, graphics and image forms. The best type of monitor for your personal computer is a flat screen, or flat panel display. This type of monitor is most popular these days. The characteristics of these monitors are color, size and resolution. The more colors it has the better the clarity of the images on your PC will be. This printer, though expensive, can produce a variety of images and texts. Speakers (or headphones) are another feature that is available for a PC in order for the user to be able to hear sounds. Yet another feature is the removable media devices used to transfer data or documents onto other devices. Examples of these devices are CD-writers, DVD-writers or USB- flash memory cards. Of the devices that are considered both input and output devices are modems and speech synthesizers. Modems are important for access to the internet, the World Wide Web, which connects users to people from all over the world. Each of these devices (both input and output) will allow you to use your personal computer to the best of its ability. It is also important that one buy a good brand name of each of these devices as well as the computer itself, in order to assure warranty and to have the best products available.

Hi – I have the RCT3 demo on my home desk top computer and I make roller coasters but they wont go up bigger hills. How do I add speed to my roller coaster to go up hills?

I’m exhausted, and it sucks but I’m home schooled and only get to hang out with my friends from 6-8 on Thursdays. The rest of the time I sit at home on the computer because my mother does not let me out. I want to clean my room and my computer desk (Its a huge mess, it’ll take hours) so she’ll let me stay from 5-8. I have no energy drinks. Any tips?? I’m exhausted.

My computer desk has collected a few scratches and small dings. I was wanting to repair it since I am on summer break.

I’ve been thinking about getting rid of my home phone and just switching to a cell phone all the time. However my internet is hooked up through the same phone line as my home phone. How do I go to just cell phones but still have internet for my computer. Maybe Wifi? I don’t really know what that is… My current phone and internet provider sucks so I really want to switch. It is at a desk next the the refridgerator. will it mess up anything inside the computer?

I recently moved into an apartment that uses hot water baseboard heaters to heat the house. I have a lot of wires very near or touching the panels in places..such as where my computer desk meets the wall and my home theater system wires run. It’s starting to get colder…and I’m wondering if I will need to move the wires? Do these systems get hot enough to cause damage to them? Thanks!

I am doing a system on home desk top computer. during system recovery gives options "R" for recover will boot into the recovery partition or on Cd if no recovery partition is found
"F" to format drive and perform a full sustem recovery all data will be lost!
"Q" to quit and to boo the OS on hard disk

I do stock trading from home and I need to another monitor but there is only a plug in for one monitor on the back of the desk top. Do I need an adaptor who can’t the computer take two monitors? It is a Dell Dimension 5150 computer. Thanks in advance!

Ok, well this question is for my sister. She has a regular desk top computer and just a cell phone. She doesn’t have a home phone so she needs a cheap high speed internet service, where she doesn’t have to install a home phone or have any extra cell phones plans. I made a project at school and it was a circut board. A circut board on top of a wood block. I used lead solder on it. I know its lead because my teacher said and he said he got it from another country or something….

Anyways, I was in junior highshool and did not know lead was poisonous. SO i brought the project home and placed it on my computer desk. The project has been sitting on that place for a while now. Can I just use a paper towel drenched in hot water and wipe the surface…and touch the surface with my hands?

There were some lead contact with the table. So is washing with hot water enough for the surface to be safe to touch?

My family of four has a "collect all room" which has all of our hobby materials, books and our home computer. The room is rather rather small (8′x10′), plus a closet that is about about four feet wide and about a foot and a half deep. We have two bookcases–that are over flowing with books, papers, binders, scrapbooks etc, a metal storage closet, and two desks that hold either the computer, printer or hobby supplies.

I’ve gone through and gotten rid of books and supplies that are unwanted/could go elsewhere, but I still find that things pile up on the floor or over flow. The rest of my house is cleaned up, but for some reason this room becomes a mess in less than a day, how can I better organize it so this doesn’t keep happening. Any ideas, preferably cheap, would be greatly appreciated.
